Commercial Sign Fabricator

Fabricates and assembles structural metal components for lighted commercial signs by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Checks work order against drawings for accuracy, quality, measurements, etc.
-Develops layout and plans sequence of operations and cut list for components.
-Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto metal work piece.
-Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, cutoff saws, brakes, flame cutters, punch press, form roll and drill press, to cut and shape components to specified dimensions.
-Hammers, chip, and grinds work piece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
-Preheats work pieces.
-Positions, aligns, fits and welds components together.
-Designs and constructs templates and fixtures.
-Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications.
-Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.
-Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as radial drill press, end mill, and materials used.
-Signs off on all work and materials used.
-Fabricates products in a profitable manner.

Reasoning Ability - To solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SharePoint-DeNet Database software.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Forklift Certified and Certified in Welding
Other Skills Welding/Mig, air drills, saw, capability of training and reading production orders/blue prints.Work
